Description: The development of an integrated 40MW Small Hydropower (SHP) scheme is located on the Telekosang River in Tenom, Sabah. The project aim is enhancing production of renewable energy resources to cater for the improvement of electricity security and socio development in the state of Sabah. The Project will be designed as a cascading hydroelectric scheme where both Plant 1 and Plant 2 are situated along the same river such that the run-off discharge of Plant 2 will be used as the water intake source for the Plant 1. The electricity produced by project activity will result in an annual average emission reduction of 128,821 tonnes of CO2e. Expected total emission reduction amount over the first crediting period is 1,288,211 tCO2.
