Beypi Steam Generation by Sludge Incineration Project

Beypi Steam Generation by Sludge Incineration Project

Project Location: Türkiye, Bolu Province, Yeniçağa District, Gölbaşı Village.

Methodology: AMS-III.E.: Avoidance of methane production from decay of biomass through controlled combustion, gasification or mechanical/thermal treatment and AMS-I.C.: Thermal energy production with or without electricity

Description: Beypi Biomass Power Plant incinerates biological sludge, (collected from poultry WWTP), generates steam to be used in processes and reduces the amount of waste generated. The project is estimated to help reduce the carbon emissions average by 18,385 tons annually, generate 41,920 tons steam and incinerate 30,000 tons of sludge.

The Project is expected to contribute to the following SDGs: 3, 7, 8, 11, 12 & 13.
